Ok, so I don't update this a lot. Sheesh. Nobody reads it anyway. Now the Boy is working full time in D.C. as some kind of Web developer. That's OK I guess but I still have to pay for some things. Life is hard. My wife retired from her job a year ago and still managed to make more than me in the last year.

Cameron is doing fine I guess, man is she low maintenance, except for the mess everywhere. Thank goodness for the dog, he eats almost all the mess that is chewable.

Work is OK, life is great. I wish winter was over.

Day one

OK, I'm starting a 2 and a half week vacation today. My son, Wyatt (http://lonekid.com) and I had a tiff yesterday, I asked him to do something. I felt that if I have a 19 year old who is going to college on my dime, in a car that I insure and keep repaired, and is living in my house this summer rent and food free, could do me a favor.

I guess I was wrong.

Don't get me wrong, I love him and am happy that he is happy now, he had a rough first year at college, but he is driving me nuts.

My vacation is in Minnesota and North Dakota, that is where I am from, and my mother and 2 brothers are still in the area. I love to visit them but this time I'm going to add something. My older brother is 7 years older and when I graduated from High School, I went out to work on his farm. I need to ask him and my sister-in-law if I was as irrational, from their perspective, as I feel that my 19 year old is.

I have a feeling my view of me at 19 is a little 'rose colored glasses' at this point.

My 13 year old daughter, Cameron, has had a lazy summer also, but she's 13! She is wonderful, tho like her mom, she was born with grey hair. She acts, thinks and argues like an adult and is a real worrier. She worries about things I don't even think about, but again that is just like her mother.

Well, that's it for the first post. I'll see how this goes.
